A Beautiful Day At The Park
Daddy had the day off work today! We were able to go play at the park by our house. Ethan had a great time, especially on the slide! He tried a practice run with Daddy, then decided he could go all by himself!

We had a great time celebrating Brian's birthday with the family. You don't look a day over 21 Brian!
We Love living in SoCal!
The day after coming home from Kentucky we went to Disneyland (I know, big surprise). Luckily there was no need for winter parkas here! Ethan even got to ride a big kid ride! Warp speed ahead!
19 Week Ultrasounds
The Littlest Groene is right on schedule! The Doctor said he is right on track and looking great! We're almost halfway to meeting little brother :)
Our Visit to Kentucky
We had a great time in Kentucky visiting with Uncle Tim, Auntie Kate and Baby Ben, Nana and Don Don and Papa and Grannie. The temperature was just above freezing for only two days while we were there. (We sure missed the weather back home! Ethan was wearing shorts the day before we left). While we were there they had their worst winter storms of the year including two bouts with snow. Ethan liked viewing the snow from inside, outside was a different story. Luckily he had an adorable new cousin to play with; great practice for a big brother to be! Ethan even practiced holding a baby...well, looks like that needs some work...
Cousins
We had a wonderful time visiting Mommy's family back in Kentucky. We even got to take pictures with Baby Ben who had just turned 9 weeks (Ethan's 13 months), Uncle Tim and Auntie Kate as well as Papa and Grannie who just got engaged!!
It's a...Boy!
Mommy went to the doctor on the 13th and convinced him to perform an unscheduled ultrasound to find out the sex of the Littlest Groene. Daddy couldn't make it so, we had the doctor seal the ultrasound along with what sex he believed the little one was in an envelope. When Daddy got home we all got to open the envelope together. This will be a big surprise for Nana, Don Don, Papa and Kathi who we're visiting this week. who thought we wouldn't find out until the 28th.
Twelve month photos, Round Two
This was our second attempt at Ethan's twelve month photos. He was feeling better today but, good luck getting a little one to stay still or even look at the camera. We did get a few cute ones though.
Merry Christmas
We can't believe it's already Ethan's second Christmas nor can we believe next year we'll have a 2 year old and a six month old! We had a wonderful Christmas Eve at Kristin, Brian's sisters house in the afternoon, went to a late afternoon church service and then had Auntie Willa, Annell and Jerry over for traditional chili dinner at our house. Christmas morning was so exciting with a little one looking to explore all of his new toys. We had a relaxing morning at the house then to Annell and Jerry's to celebrate with Jerry's cousin and his family down from Vista. The day was a beautiful one and we are so blessed to have so many things to be thankful for!
